Using the Profit and Loss Statement to Run a Better, More Profitable Practice
The profit and loss statement is the financial statement most commonly used by practice managers to identify areas the practice is doing well in and areas that need improvement. And while the profit and loss statement is a relatively easy statement to understand in theory, if the information included isn’t accurately calculated or it’s not clear what the bottom line (net income) really means, managers may not be getting as much from this analysis as they need.
